Geocaching and the Westmoreland Conservancy

All-Day Caching, 5:30 pm Picnic at Townsend Park in Murrysville, PA. This is our 6th year!
All-day geocaching fun for everyone! Food, raffles, hikes and exploration! 5:30 PM picnic. Hot dogs provided by SLAM, additional food donations welcome!

All day local caches may be done at the participant's leisure.
Coordinates will also be available for printing from the Westmoreland Conservancy's cache page

An all day geocaching event including:
Caches: 6 WC Reserves, 1 private Historic Site, 2 Municipal sites, DHCT (5 caches)

For a group/cooperative caching experience:
Don Harrison Community Trail 5-Mile Cache Hike from Townsend Park to Walter Reserve. Steep hill down. Allow 3 hours. (arrange for carpooling or pick-up)
Don Harrison Community Trail 5-Mile Cache Hike from Murrysville Dog Park to Townsend Park. 2 Steep hills to climb. Allow 3 hours. West to East Difficulty level: 1.5. Terrain difficulty: 3. East to West Difficulty level: 1.5. Terrain difficulty: 3.5.

5:30 pm: Picnic

6 pm raffle: Must be present to win.

Please RSVP with the number of attendees and what you are planning to bring (not required, but gratefully accepted).

You may wish to bring your own portable chairs

Townsend park is handicapped accessible.
Temporary caches will requires some hiking along well marked trails.
