American White Pelican, taken at Keystone State Park Lake, Westmoreland Co., May 25,
2004
This adult American White Pelican in breeding plumage was first seen
at Keystone State Park around 5 PM on 24 May 2004 by a neighbor of
Karen Jackson. However, she did not tell anyone about it until 25
May. Karen and Merle Jackson went out and found the bird around 5 PM
on 25 May 2004 and contacted folks about the bird. This shot was made
strictly with my digital camera and the lens was set at 10X from the
south shore of the lake.
